What is a Door?
A Door is a custom shipping alias you can share instead of your home address. Sanctuary privately routes eligible deliveries to your protected destination.
Where can I use my Door?
Use a Door where you would normally provide a shipping address, such as shopping, gifts, subscriptions, returns, or other parts of life that need a receiving address.
Do packages still come to me?
That is the purpose of a Door: you share the Door while Sanctuary keeps your protected destination in the background and routes eligible deliveries to you.
Can I choose my Door address?
Door creation includes an address-selection experience. Availability and the final address are confirmed through the Sanctuary app.
How many Doors can I have?
The number of Doors available to you is determined by your active Sanctuary entitlement. The app is the authoritative place to view your current capacity.
What is a Knock?
A Knock is a way for someone to ask before sending through a Door when that Door or use case calls for it. It is not a claim that every ordinary checkout requires manual approval.
Does a store need to work with Sanctuary?
No special Sanctuary integration is required for the normal Door experience. Use your Door where you would normally provide a shipping address.
Does Sanctuary deliver my packages?
Sanctuary is not the delivery carrier. Sanctuary handles the private routing between your Door and protected destination; normal delivery infrastructure ultimately delivers the package.
Do I have to connect my email?
No. Connected email is optional. Without it, Sanctuary still works and you can add or save order and tracking information manually. With it, Sanctuary can recognize supported order or shipping information and reduce manual entry.
What can I control about a Door?
Door Rules let you control how receiving through a Door behaves. You can set or change its saved protected destination in the app without sharing that destination with people using the Door. A paused Door is temporarily closed. When you retire a Door, its private links are no longer available and its alias enters a six-month quarantine.
Can people see my real home address?
No. A Door is meant to be the address you share. Sanctuary keeps the protected destination out of the sender-facing experience.
What can I use different Doors for?
People use separate Doors for different parts of life, including shopping, family, dating, creator mail, business, and returns.
How does Sanctuary get my package to me?
You share the Door. Sanctuary handles the private routing relationship and keeps your protected destination in the background.
